BENTONITE CLAY CLEANSE FOR THE SMALL BOWEL :

A bentonite clay cleanse is one of the most effective ways to cleanse the 17/18 feet of small bowel. We cannot get into the small bowel during a colon hydrotherapy treatment and, indeed, we should not be able to due to a one-way valve called the Ileo-cecal Valve (ICV). This should only allow the movement of 'material' from the small bowel into the large bowel. However, sometimes the ICV can become dysfunctional and remain in an open position, thereby allowing the 'toxic' contents of the large bowel to flow back into the small bowel. If this happens, there is a risk that such 'toxins' may enter the portal veinous system and be taken to the liver. If the liver cannot cope with the extra demand, perhaps because it is already over-loaded, there may be a river of 'toxins' spilling into the blood stream. This can have a detrimental affect on our health.

The walls of the small bowel are lined with tiny hair-like projections called villi, and this is where the absorption of nutrients take place. However, through illness, poor diet, antibiotics, dysbiosis, candida, stress etc etc, these villi can become 'clogged' and damaged.

The bentonite clay formula acts like a strong intestinal vacuum, lifting pathogenic bacteria, yeasts and microscopic putrefactive particles of partially digested food that have been affecting the function of the villus. This 'waste' is then passed into the large bowel for elimination. The formula can also soften old encrusted faecal matter and 'toxic' waste inside diverticular pockets in the large bowel for easier removal. The formula contains pharmaceutical grade bentonite clay, organic flax seed, apple fruit pectin, psyllium seed and husk, slippery elm bark, organic marshmallow root, organic fennel seed and activated sycamore charcoal.

Take 1 heaped teaspoon in half a litre of water or diluted juice, between meals, for six days. When taking the clay, you may notice your bowel movements slow down a little. It may be necessary to take certain herbs (Intestinal Corrective No. 2) to ensure that you are still having regular bowel movements. The Bentonite Clay Cleanse and Intestinal Corrective No. 2 capsules can be purchased from me at a cost of £21 and £13.50 respectively. A months course of a multi strain probiotic will assist in re-colonising the small and large bowel with beneficial bacteria. I would recommend Ecodophilus by Bionutri. This can be obtained from The Natural Dispensary on 01453 757792 at a cost of £9.95. Each capsule contains 10 billion multi strain cells.

Always consider having a colon hydrotherapy treatment prior to and following a Bentonite Clay Cleanse to obtain maximum benefit. For more information, contact me by e-mail or phone.
