New Colonic Hydrotherapy/Digestive Health Clinic to open in Nottingham GP Surgery

Colonic Hydrotherapy Clinic to open at Plains View Surgery, Mapperley, Nottingham.

Here’s a couple of pictures showing the treatment room (not quite completed, but have been assured by the builders that it will be ready at the end of March!) and the completed toilet area.

The flooring is anti-bacterial, anti-infection.  They have this flooring in all the treatment rooms used by the GP’s and Nurses at the Surgery, as stipulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) so we decided to have the same.

It’s taken longer than anticipated to get the Clinic ready, but it will be a state of the art, purpose-built colonic clinic, so well worth the wait.

This new Clinic will specialise in treating the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome; abdominal bloating, non-specific abdominal pain, flatulence, as well as other bowel and digestive disorders, including diarrhoea, constipation, acid reflux and indigestion.

Will post some more pictures of the (hopefully) completed colonic treatment room at the end of this month, and advise of the opening date, everything is still being setup, we’re aiming to have a few pieces of Clinical Photography up in our website to better showcase all the services that will be offered.

This clinic will also take a new approach and implement more healthcare technology. Technology helps to reduce errors, prevent adverse drug reactions, protect patient privacy, and improve overall care. Leveraging technology and applying it to healthcare can help improve the delivery of patient care while reducing expenses and controlling costs at the same time — and since many common health issues are a result of poor lifestyle choices or chronic medical conditions can be managed and improved with lifestyle changes and/or prescribed medications and lifestyle interventions; adopting these electronic medical records and technology solutions have the capability of improving access to care and quality of care provided as well as having the ability to reduce healthcare costs in the long run by dramatically reducing the number of preventable readmissions.
