Reducing fibre may cause weight gain

When you remove fibre from your food, you gain weight more easily, and here’s why.

If you’re eating high-carb foods, with no fibre, then you’re going to be dumping too much sugar into your blood, and this will cause a spike in insulin. Essentially it’s saying “I’m starving”, and it sets in motion a chain of events that leads to slow calorie burning and stubborn fat storage mechanisms.
