Why, after countless visits to see your GP, different medications, from anti-spasmodics, anti-depressants, laxatives, blood tests and more tests at the hospital, have you still not found out why you’ve got IBS. Why do you still suffer with bloating, constipation, abdominal pain, smelly wind.

What do you do if you keep going to see your GP with the same symptoms, but month after month, and year after year, you are getting no better, in fact your symptoms are getting worse.  Do you carry on going to the same GP, accepting the same diagnosis and treatment protocols – drugs, tests, invasive procedures, that may be completely unnecessary.

You may have seen your GP many times and he/she has run all the appropriate tests, informing you that the results are normal, and there’s nothing to worry about. However, your symptoms still have not improved. You’ve still got IBS, you still get bloated, gassy, constipated, tummy pain, tired, fed up, at the end of your tether. Don’t accept it!  Get a second opinion.  If the current NHS ‘model’ isn’t working for you, get another opinion from someone that uses a different healthcare ‘model’. You never know, looking out of the ‘box’ may be just what you need.
