The Viva-Mayr Clinic

Just started thinking about packing a few things for my trip to The Viva-Mayr Clinic in Austria on Tuesday, 22nd November.  I will need very little, as most of my days will be spent in robe and slippers, going from one wonderful, relaxing treatment, to another.  My aims at Viva this year are to shed a few pounds (around 10lbs) and completely detoxify my vital organs, including liver, kidneys, bowel, heart, lungs and blood!  This will be my third visit. I went in 2008 and 2009. I wasn’t able to go in 2010, as my Dad had a stroke in the October, and I was due to go to Viva in the November.

Many of the treatments are aimed at achieving total detoxification and de-acidification of the body, and the treatments include the taking of alkaline powders daily, vitamin/mineral infusions, colon hydrotherapy, massage, (specifically the important manual abdominal massage) treatments in the Kneipp Department, including herbal baths, mud baths, sauna, steam room, infinity pool and gym.  That is just a selection of the treatments/facilities available at Viva-Mayr. Of course, there is the World famous Viva Diet, and the food during my stay will be prescribed to me by one of the Physicians.  I know what is good for me, and particularly my blood type (O) – high protein, particularly animal protein (red meats) and low carbohydrates.
