London here we come!

Watch out London, the Booth’s are coming to Town

Just booked two double rooms for three nights in this new hotel that’s opened up near Brick Lane in the East End of London.  It’s a new concept in high quality, but reasonably priced tourist Hotels.  Doesn’t look very British at all. Very quirky and err! cubist. Check it out here:

I can’t really explain how different it is from any other Hotel we’ve ever stayed it.  Just look at the images on their website and you will see what I mean.

It only opened this month (October 2013) so all very new.  They place particular emphasis on cleanliness. They also provide sound-proof rooms, air con, and FREE wi fi in all areas.  It really irritates me when Hotels just won’t provide full access wi-fi unless you pay extra.  It’s so mean and tight-fisted.

Breakfast isn’t included in the price, but there are vending machines (oh no I hear you gasp! – but wait!!). Vending machines that dispense organic, healthy food choices, not the usual high fat, high sugar stuff you normally get in vending machines. You can also find a pop-up healthy cafe in the Reception area of Qbic.

Add to that, the fact that Qbic is in the heart of the East End, and spitting distance from Brick Lane and the famous Old Truman Brewery, where you will find an eclectic mix of stalls, selling all manner of interesting bits and bobs, plus a variety of restaurants, bars and an excellent food market.

OK. Off to book tickets for Phantom now 🙂
